Tazreen Hussain
Tazreen Hussain is Co-Founder of the WPS Collective and most recently served as Women, Peace, and Security Advisor at USAID, where she led strategy and policy on women’s leadership and protection in conflict settings. With deep expertise in gender equality and inclusive governance, she has helped shape global frameworks on violence against women in elections, technology-facilitated gender-based violence, and gender-informed civilian protection, while developing programs and partnerships that support women leaders worldwide. Tazreen holds a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University and a B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University.
Kayla McGill
Kayla McGill is a Co-Founder of the WPS Collective. At the Department of State, Women In International Security (WIIS), and the WomanStats Project, she led policy analysis, development, and implementation, and fostered partnerships across sectors. Kayla earned her Master’s in International Affairs with concentrations in Diplomacy, Intelligence, and Women, Peace and Security from The Bush School at Texas A&M, and her Bachelor’s in Political Science with a minor in Civic Engagement from Brigham Young University.
Hannah Proctor
Hannah Proctor is a Co-Founder of the WPS Collective. She served at the Department of State’s Office of Global Women's Issues, where she led the 2023 U.S. Strategy & National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security. Hannah holds a master's in Women, Peace and Security from the London School of Economics and a dual bachelor's in Women's Studies and International Affairs from the University of Georgia.
Rachel Wein
Rachel Wein is a Co-Founder of the WPS Collective and a gender equality leader with nearly a decade of experience in U.S. national security and foreign policy. She most recently served in the Department of State's Office of Global Women's Issues, where she led the implementation of Women, Peace and Security and worked to integrate gender equality into U.S. foreign policy. Rachel holds a Master's in Foreign Policy and National Security with a concentration in Global Gender Policy from George Washington University and a BA in Political Science and History from James Madison University.
